Namibia: Positive anti-corruption signs

In most African countries, government officials do not make a distinction between government property and that of the ruling party. It is, therefore, perfectly normal that a government official should use government vehicles for party activities. The Namibian anti-corruption agency, to its immense credit, is trying to clamp down on this practice. In this report, a government officer who was using a government vehicle for the activities of the ruling party ended up in jail. I hope that this will serve as an example to other African countries – such as Zimbabwe.
